When I was 43, due to a dermoid cyst, I had abdominal surgery to remove my ovaries and fallopian tubes. And like a lightning bolt, I started with menopause symptoms 12 weeks post surgery!

Wowsers - experiencing night sweats alongside hot flashes for the first time was quite something! Never changed outfits so many times in one day!!!

Because of my age and starting with the menopause so early, I was prescribed HRT by my consultant. One of many HRT solutions I have had since I started this phase of my life.
